Move into Action

Another strategy for helping yourself have more harmony in your mind and peace in your life and success overall is to test your limits. You will never know your true potential if you always stay in your comfort zone. Our comfort zones limit us. We often are unwilling to try something new because of lack of knowledge or skills, because something is hard, it’s too big, it’s too tough, because we’ve never done it that way before. But we have to test our limits and go out there and do what we can. As the old saying goes, “It’s better to look back and regret what you did than regret all these things you wish you had tried instead.”

You test your limits, you give it the very best you’ve got. You have to do what you can do to make a difference. There are always challenges you’re going to experience, and you need to take action. You will never know how far you can go if you don’t test what you can do.

Another strategy which can make a difference as you are going through your life is to adopt an attitude of gratitude. Focusing on all the things that we have in our lives to be grateful for is a wonderful strategy. Could you have more money? Certainly. Would it be nice if you had better health? Without a doubt. Would it be great to be one of the smartest of the smart, the strongest of the strong? Yes, it would be absolutely wonderful. Yet you have so much to be thankful for – your food, your friends, the world around you and nature, the place you live, all the many things you receive.

You are in many ways blessed. You have so many things to be thankful for yet so many of us spend our days regretting the things we don’t have or the actions we didn’t take. You also need to live with an attitude of gratitude because it lifts you within and gives more power to your mind. Live with an attitude of gratitude.

Meditate Often

Something that will make a huge difference in how you feel inside and the way your world works is learning to meditate. Take the time to quiet your mind and focus within, learn about that calm spot inside of yourself, that peace within your mind. There are so many simple strategies all the way from just taking time to stop and watch your breathing; the rise and fall of your chest, the in and out. As you do that just mentally tell your mind relax and calm, relax and calm, and just watch your breathing. That calmness, that watching of your body function, is peaceful to your mind and helpful to your focus.

Most westerners have a very difficult time keeping their focus fine-tuned. The reason is that they’ve never disciplined their mind to learn how to truly, deeply focus. Meditation not only calms you within, it builds a powerful ability to focus on those things you desire to when they come up. Learn to meditate, learn to calm yourself and have more quietness within your mind.
