Creating A Life Worth Living

Minister Charles Fillmore said, “Life for every person should be a journey in jubilance.”

Re-read that sentence and pause to think about it for fifteen seconds.

Did you get the power behind the thought? If not, read it again, and think about your daily life. Get it???

The first time I encountered this amazing thought, deep in my gut I got it. I saw the truth and power of that statement.

Then my brain said, “I wonder when that journey of jubilance begins?” Hmmmm……..

Well, obviously it’s not this morning, because my boss was hassling me about the project. And it’s not right now either, because I have too much crap to do.

I’d bet it won’t be tomorrow either because I have to spend all day doing chores I’ve put off for the last month!

And without a doubt, it won’t be next week either, because I have to go on a diet, and start sleeping on a bed of nails. (Shall I keep going?)

Well, when in the heck will it start?

Jubilance is an attitude. It’s a choice of focus. It’s a positive state of mind. It begins the very second you see, hear, feel, taste, smell or touch, the goodness, accomplishment, humor, beauty or richness of any instant in time.

Whatever you are in the midst of doing right now–pause for a brief moment.

Pause here for 15 to 30 seconds—find that something good here, and feel the positive lift (even if small) toward jubilance. DO IT RIGHT NOW!

Stop here and look around you. See one thing that you can appreciate about the environment you are in.

Take this pause multiple times through your day. If you are too busy to do this–YOU ARE TOO DANGED BUSY!!! (or you have delusions of grandeur.)

Find the richness and good around you. Use these brief moments of gratitude to move yourself into jubilance. It will make every day a better day.

The Best of Success to You!
