Manage Your Brain
Medicine and psychology agree that between fifty to sixty-five percent of illnesses are stress related or psychosomatic in nature. Basically that means, we do it to ourselves.
Us creating our own illnesses…. Now isn’t that a bum deal!
“You don’t get ulcers from what you eat. You get them from what’s eating you!” Vicki Baum
Why would any reasonable person choose to make themselves sick? They wouldn’t. It’s not like we tell ourselves, “Ok, today I’m going to have a super-slushy double-shot of lethal virus. I want to absolutely ensure that I have an ultra-whammy sickness this time!”
But, do you ever get extremely stressed? Or, do you ever think the worst? Or, perhaps consume too much of what you know is not particularly healthful? Sure. Pretty much everyone does.
But of all things we do, not managing our mind and the direction it’s going is one of the biggest problems.
It’s documented—proven by thousands of research studies—that negative, stressful thinking throws your body out of balance. Your immune system goes out of whack. Your hormonal levels become too high or too low. We literally do eat ourselves up from within.
To counter this negative–make sure you take your daily dose of laughter, enthusiasm and positive to overcome those things that can “eat at you.”
