How to Improve Whole Brain Functioning

The science of Kinesiology is the study of movement and its relation to the nervous system. Using it appropriately can stimulate greater whole brain functioning.
The “Cross Crawl” exercise works from the idea that when we are born our nervous systems are homolateral–meaning the right brain controls the movement on the left of the body and vice versa.
The cross crawl uses movement principles and rhythm to enhance usage of the whole brain all at once.
From research with babies it’s was discovered that the cross crawl process lights up neural circuits in a whole brain fashion. By the same token, for adults cross crawls are believed to trigger an energizing of brain function by promoting right-left brain communication through the corpus callosum. It improves information flow between the two hemispheres. It is useful for spelling, writing, listening, reading and comprehension. Read more »

Success Is Within You Right Now

Will things always go the way you want? No they won’t. But have you had past successes? Of course. Will you have more? Without a doubt.

“Today is a new day. You will get out of it just what you put into it. If you have made mistakes, even serious mistakes, there is always another chance for you. And supposing you have tried and failed again and again, you may have a fresh start any moment you choose. For this thing that we call “failure” is not the falling down, but the staying down.” —Mary Pickford (1892-1979) Read more »

Assumptions For Success

Have you heard the saying, “When you ‘assume’ it makes and ‘ass’ out of ‘u’ and ‘me’?” There are times that assuming can definitely do that. But without assumptions your life would be much more complicated.

You need to assume the best will happen for you, and then do your best work to make that assumption come true.

Assume you can succeed. Assume you can do what needs done, then go out and find a way to turn that thought into reality.

Your assumptions generate a powerful influence over your thoughts, actions and focus. If you want to be more, do more and have more–make your assumptions about your life and work more positive.

There are so many choices of action, that you couldn’t possibly see them all. When you decide to act on one option, assume you will succeed.

The majority of people enter into new events expecting to fail. Failure is a possibility. But instead of having that as your focus, assume that somehow, someway things will work out and go well for you and your endeavor.

Having assumptions won’t give you the life your desire. Yet they can boost your positive perspective so you feel more like you can succeed. That feeling of positive possibility is one of the criteria of success.

When you assume the best, you will find there are plenty of opportunities arise to make it happen. Focus on the positive, and detach from the negative.

Here is a way you can power up your thinking and actions for a better future. Check out: http://www.DrLarryIverson.com/products/achieve-your-dreams/index.html

Getting to Yes — Having a Yes Attitude

“I thank you God for this most amazing day, for the leaping greenly spirits of trees, and for the blue dream of sky and for everything which is natural—which is infinite—which is yes!” E. E. Cummings (1894-1962)

When I first saw this quotation, it stopped me in my tracks. I read it, then immediately re-read it. I pondered over it a bit, then re-read and thought more, and did this over and over for more than ten minutes.

I was fully experiencing the vivid “yes-ness” of numerous rich images. My brain flashed picture after picture. And, I felt the “yes” warm me deep in my heart, in my being. I’d not before experienced “yes” in that precise way before.

Have you seen an athlete who just did well give a fist pump and yell out “Yes!” from excitement? This is one manifestation of the “yes” that Cummings was talking about.

Yes—affirms life. Yes—energizes the breadth, depth and texture of your experience. “Yes!”—is the simplest affirmation.

Yes is you taking care of you. It’s you focusing on your goal, and pumping up the volume of your determination and drive. Yes holds your hand and walks purposefully into a better now.

Make certain you keep your “yes” near. It will warm you when you are cold, spur you when you get tired, and strengthen you when you feel weak.

Let “yes” be your companion through every experience—and your power will leap at least ten fold! All you have to do is choose “yes”, and it’s yours—right now!

Here is a program that can help you generate “Yes” experiences in your life. Check out: http://www.WinningAllTheTime.com/

Living a Rich, Full Life

“We do not remember days–we remember moments.” Cesare Pavese (1908-1950)

How many moments will you remember from today?

Remembered moments result from energy. Passion, emotion, richness and movement, make a moment into a vivid memory.

I don’t care if you are the lowest paid assistant in the largest corporation, each of your days have “moments”.

When you assist an associate to get a job needing done handled—pause for perhaps five seconds—and feel the win in that moment. Allow the specialness of it to warm you from within, even just briefly. Make that moment “come alive” in you. Read more »
